Terms and Conditions

   By booking or attending any training session, class, workshop, course, camp, event, or online programme provided by Connected Canines, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.  
1. Training Methods  Connected Canines is committed to force-free, reward-based training methods.  Harsh handling, physical punishment, intimidation, or the use of aversive training equipment, including choke chains, prong collars, and other coercive training methods, is not permitted. Training is conducted in accordance with modern, ethical training practices and the principles of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).  Connected Canines reserves the right to terminate a session or ask a participant to leave without refund if their actions compromise the welfare or safety of any dog or person present.

 2. Owner Responsibilities  Owners and handlers are responsible for their dog's behaviour and welfare at all times.  Dogs must be kept under control and on lead in public areas unless specifically instructed otherwise by an instructor. Owners must clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste responsibly.  While instructors are available to provide guidance and support, responsibility for the conduct of the dog remains with the owner or handler at all times.

 3. Bookings, Cancellations and Refunds  Payment is required to secure your place unless otherwise agreed.  If you need to cancel or rearrange an individual training session, please provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice wherever possible. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged in full.  Places on courses, workshops, camps, events and online programmes are non-refundable. Refunds, whether in full or part, will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and entirely at the discretion of Connected Canines.  Transfers of bookings to another person, dog, course, workshop or event are not permitted unless agreed in writing.
Connected Canines reserves the right to cancel or reschedule training due to weather, instructor illness, insufficient numbers, or circumstances beyond our control. Where this occurs, an alternative date, credit, or transfer will be offered where possible.

 4. Children at Training  Children are welcome to attend training sessions and are often excellent handlers.  For safety reasons, all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.  Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that children behave appropriately and follow any instructions given by the instructor. Running, shouting, or disruptive behaviour may unsettle dogs and create unnecessary risks.

 5. Health and Attendance  Dogs attending training must be fit, healthy, and free from contagious disease.  Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog is appropriately vaccinated or protected as advised by their veterinary surgeon.  Dogs suffering from illness, injury, lameness, or any condition that may affect their ability to train safely should not attend training.  Bitches in season are not permitted to attend classes, workshops, courses, camps, or group training sessions. Owners should notify Connected Canines as soon as possible if their bitch comes into season. Bitches may return to training three weeks after the onset of their season. Where possible, alternative training arrangements may be offered, but missed sessions are not normally refundable.  

6. Client Disclosure and Honesty  Clients must provide accurate, truthful, and complete information regarding their dog's health, behaviour, training history, and any relevant circumstances.  This includes, but is not limited to:  Aggressive or reactive behaviour Previous biting incidents Medical conditions or injuries Behavioural concerns Any restrictions imposed by legislation or local authority orders  Failure to disclose relevant information may place other participants, instructors, members of the public, and dogs at risk.  Connected Canines reserves the right to refuse or terminate services without refund where information has been withheld or misrepresented.  The client remains legally responsible for their dog and any consequences arising from undisclosed behavioural or medical issues.

 7. Photography and Media  Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken during training sessions, workshops, camps, and events.  Connected Canines may use these images and videos for educational, promotional, marketing, and social media purposes.  If you do not wish photographs or videos of yourself or your dog to be used, please notify Connected Canines in writing before attending training.  

8. Liability  Participation in any Connected Canines activity is entirely at the owner's risk.  Owners remain responsible for their dogs and their actions at all times.  Connected Canines, its instructors, assistants, and landowners accept no liability for injury, illness, loss, theft, damage, or expenses incurred by any person, dog, vehicle, equipment, or property whilst attending or participating in training activities, except where liability cannot be excluded by law

Website Use  The content of this website, including text, images, videos, downloads, training materials, and course content, is the property of Connected Canines unless otherwise stated and is protected by copyright law.  You may access and use materials for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:  Copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify materials without permission. Use materials for commercial purposes. Share, sell, or transfer course materials to third parties. Remove copyright or proprietary notices from any material.  Unauthorised use of materials may result in legal action.  

10. Website Disclaimer  All information provided through the Connected Canines website, online courses, and training materials is provided in good faith and for educational purposes only.  Whilst every effort is made to ensure accuracy, Connected Canines makes no guarantees regarding the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of any information provided.  

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions  Connected Canines reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.  The most current version will always be available on the Connected Canines website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms and Conditions.  By booking, attending, or participating in any Connected Canines service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
